Custom protective inserts, cut to your product
An insert holds the product in a fixed position inside the crate. We CNC-cut inserts from layered sheet material to the shape of your product, from a model or a drawing. We have built layered plywood transport supports for industrial energy equipment. Inserts can be designed together with the crate around them.

What you get
Cut to product shape
Pockets and supports follow your CAD model or drawing.
Layered construction
Sheets are stacked and located with dowels to build depth. This method was used on a layered transport support for energy equipment.
Fixed position
The product sits in the same place in every package of a batch.
Designed with the crate
Insert and crate can come from one CAD model, so dimensions agree.
Base accuracy plus or minus 0.5 mm
Inside corner radius from 2 mm.
Repeatable
The cut file is kept, so a reorder gives the same insert.

Questions
What do you need to make an insert?+−
A CAD model (STEP) or a drawing of the product, or the product itself as a sample. We confirm contact points and areas that must stay free.
Do you make foam inserts?+−
Our standard inserts are cut from plywood and other sheet materials. We do not cut foam in house; if you need a foam layer, say so in the request and we confirm what we can supply.
Will an insert protect my product in transit?+−
An insert fixes the product in position. It is not a shock or vibration protection rating. Fragile or high-value products need an engineer review of the full package.
Can the insert be part of a crate order?+−
Yes. We can design the insert and the crate together, so they use the same dimensions. See the crates page.
Does plywood packaging fall under ISPM 15?+−
Plywood and OSB components may fall outside ISPM 15 scope. Applicability depends on the full bill of materials and destination, and we confirm it per order.
Are my CAD files kept confidential?+−
We use your files to quote and produce your order. Files sent with a request are deleted after 90 days unless the order goes ahead. Approved drawings and cut files are kept for 3 years for repeat orders.
What does it cost and what is the minimum order?+−
The minimum order is 100 EUR per order, excluding VAT and delivery. Shipments outside Estonia have a separate logistics threshold of 150 EUR, also excluding VAT and delivery. Price is given for the part and the batch. Custom design is quoted per project. Made to order. Lead time is confirmed with your quote.
Send us the product to be held.
Upload a STEP file, a drawing or photos. We reply with an insert design and a price on request.
No drawing? Send photos and dimensions. Our engineer designs the insert and sends a drawing for approval.
